Phillip Procopio is a nationally recognized stylist, educator, and salon leader with almost 20 years of experience behind the chair. Known for his precision, artistry, and ability to create hair that feels both elevated and effortless, Phillip brings a refined, intentional approach to every guest he serves. As the founder of Santal, his vision is simple: deliver exceptional work, cultivate a space rooted in luxury and calm, and create an experience that feels curated at every touchpoint.

After graduating from Dahls College of Beauty in 2007, I spent four years helping rebuild our family business, Indigo Aveda Concept Salon, growing a clientele, developing a team, and discovering my love for hairstyling and event makeup.

My career then led me to Aveda corporate as a regional Salon and Spa Development Partner, where I shared my passion with salon professionals while continuing my work behind the chair and staying connected to evolving cutting, coloring, and styling techniques.

After years in corporate, I longed for a deeper connection to my community. Partnering with my friend Phillip to bring Santal to life has been an incredible honor.

To me, Santal represents the future of beauty: exceptional artistry paired with extraordinary hospitality. Beautiful hair is the expectation. The thoughtful details, personal connection, and feeling of being truly cared for are what make the experience unforgettable.

Elevated Stylist

Born and raised in Montana, Olivia is excited to begin her next chapter in Bozeman, bringing five years of experience and a passion for creating effortlessly beautiful hair. She specializes in lived-in, dimensional color, with a focus on customized, low-maintenance looks that enhance each guest's natural beauty and fit seamlessly into their lifestyle.

Known for her thoughtful approach and attention to detail, Olivia believes every appointment should feel relaxed, collaborative, and personalized. She loves helping guests feel confident by creating hair that looks just as beautiful weeks after they leave the salon as it does the day of their appointment.

Outside of the salon, you'll find Olivia exploring Montana's hiking trails, getting lost in a good book, or enjoying a cozy movie night.

Olivia's warm personality, refined eye for color, and dedication to creating an exceptional guest experience make her a wonderful addition to the Santal team. She looks forward to welcoming you into her chair.

Nia Johnson is a passionate hairstylist here at Santal Bozeman loves to work with blondes, balayages, and all things color. With a natural gift for hair and beauty, she believes that everyone deserves to feel confident and beautiful in their own skin—and she loves making that happen. Whether you're looking for a seamless, sun-kissed balayage or a bold new transformation, Nia’s expertise and artistic eye ensure stunning results. Clients can expect an exceptional, relaxing, yet fun experience in her chair, leaving with hair that turns heads and earns endless compliments.

Outside the salon, Nia enjoys spending time in nature, showing horses, and making memories with her family and friends. Her creativity extends beyond hairstyling into an appreciation for beauty in all aspects of life, from the natural world to personal expression. For Nia, hairstyling is more than just a profession—it’s a way to share her talent with the world and help others feel their absolute best.

Apprentice

Growing up, Kenna always loved the creativity and self-expression that hair makes possible. Now, she's turning that passion into a career as an Apprentice at Santal Bozeman, where she's excited to learn every aspect of the craft, from lived-in color and dimensional blonding to bold, vibrant fashion colors.

Known for her bubbly personality, dedication, and strong work ethic, Kenna is passionate about helping people feel like the best version of themselves. She believes a salon visit is about more than beautiful hair, it's about leaving with renewed confidence and feeling like a brand-new person.

What excites Kenna most about Santal is being part of a team that genuinely invests in one another's growth. She loves learning from experienced artists and is eager to continue developing her skills while creating meaningful connections with every guest she meets.

When she's not in the salon, you'll usually find her working on cars, spending time with her Dalmatian, Athena, soaking up the sunshine, or getting lost in a great book.
